Fits Burley perfectly. Angle gives a bit of extra rearward pin clearance which is extremely helpful on smaller wheel diameters such as 20-inch folding type e-bikes and bikes.Durability doesn’t seem to be a problem, although it would be really difficult to stress this thing enough to break it before the Burley rubber bushing would give way first. Thickness seems pretty good, about as good as the original one from Burley which costs almost $30 for just one unit. So there’s a good value too.Fits all the same axles Burley fits, and in the extremely unusual event you have something over 1/2 inch axle, there is enough metal stock that you could overdrill this one very slightly, de-burr the wider hole, then use it on the larger axle. But axles that big are really rare, and more common on motorcycles and you would never use this on a motorcycle. It’s purely bicycle only.Comes with its own pin which you don’t need because the Burley trailer has one attached to it on a strap and pretty much un-losable, but I guess it’s nice to have.I cannot attest to the differences in steel hardness resulting from type of steel initially used, plus (if) any heat-treat applied. I’m willing to bet if you buy the more expensive one from Burley it’s stronger, probably a lot stronger than it needs to be since bikes really don’t tow very heavy trailers, and twisting is just not that common plus most of twisting shock, again, gets absorbed by the Burley trailer bushing which is designed to do exactly that.So we have a strong hitch that’s very cheap and it comes with an extra pin you probably don’t need but nice to have, and having the offset angle gets you a little further away from things like your disc brake calipers. That’s a really nice situation.I’ve bought these more than once and will buy them again.
