The Skinny Nelson trout fly is a classic thread body nymph that is truly an effective attractor fly for most any conditions. In black and smaller sizes this fishing fly begins to replicate the small midge larvae that you find under rocks and that trout look for when they are hugging the bottom. A great pattern to fish through larger runs and riffles as well as the faster pockets often where fish hold in the summer.
